Our Building, Plumbing and Mechanical Inspectors hold Certifications issued by the Commonwealth of PA and require continuing education credits every year. The hours for the Building Department are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Our inspectors aim to return all calls, emails, and inquiries within 24 hours. 610-544-1300

Uniform Construction Code Requirements:

• Replacement of roof covering
• Addition to building
• Installation of all pools (permanent or temporary) that can hold 24″ or more of water
• Fences and retaining walls
• Tool sheds and detached garages
• Patios, porches, decks, and other outside living spaces
• Replacement of sewer lines
• Replacement of water heaters, heaters, boilers, air conditioning units and furnaces
• Installation of sump pumps or waterproofing systems
• Electrical service replacement
• Emergency generators
• Any paving, replacement of entire driveway, widening of driveway or parking area, curbs, and aprons
• Removal of interior walls (bearing or non-bearing) for kitchen or bathroom renovations
• Installation of solar arrays
• Installation of electric vehicle charging stations
• Temporary storage pods
• Dumpsters placed in the street
