Springfield Twp. Library Presents – Future is Now: How AI is Changing Our Lives

Artificial Intelligence is everywhere, but what is it really? This presentation cuts through the media hype to provide a clear-eyed look at what AI is (and what it isn’t). We will explore the simple AI we already use every day in our phones and email, examine more advanced uses in navigation and medicine, and discuss the complex frontiers of this technology. Join us to get a practical understanding of how AI is shaping our world and to learn about its powerful applications and important limitations.

Biography

Dr. Michael Wacey is a Berwyn resident and a technology consultant who advises large companies on data strategy. He holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis, a master’s degree from Drexel University, and a Doctorate in AI from George Washington University. Dr. Wacey is also an experienced educator, teaching Computer Science at West Chester University, Delaware County Community College, and LaSalle University.
